20 billion bailout package for AJK soon: PM


According to online newspaper Pakistan the AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has reiterated that government has launched a number of mega development projects to turn AJK into a model state. Talking to various public delegations at Kashmir House Islamabad on Sunday he said Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has assured bailout package on the direction of President Asif Ali Zardari for socio economic development in Azad Kashmir. 

According to online newspaper Pakistan he was optimistic that the bailout package would not only help overcome the financial crisis of Azad Kashmir but also accelerate the process of development in the state. The Prime Minister assured that after the Moharammul Haram foundation stone of Mirpur International Airport, Islamic University Khari Sharif, Rawalakot Medical College, Athmuqam to Tao Butt Benazir road, Khuhala-Muzaffarabad express way and Dhan Gali bridge to Mangla bridge road projects would be laid. A 500-bed hospital is being constructed in Mirpur, he added. Claiming that present government is compensating for the past deprivations he said we are taking practical steps for what we had promised in the pre-poll campaigns instead of believing in political rhetorics. 

According to online newspaper Pakistan Talking to a delegation of refugees settled in Punjab Chaudhry Abdul Majeed assured that after Moharram he would visit different districts of Punjab to review the problems of the refugees adding that for the first time PPP government has allocated a hefty amount of 100 million rupees for the refugees in the current financial years’ budget. 

He disclosed that Kashmir centers are being set up in different districts of Punjab. The Premier was of the view that refugees would play a pivotal role in the victory of PPP in the upcoming elections in Pakistan. Talking to a Senior Journalist of Occupied Kashmir Shujaat Bukhari, Prime Minister said Government has reserved the quota for the students of Occupied Kashmir in the Medical colleges of Azad Kashmir. He said the people and Government of AJK would never leave their brethren alone in their struggle for right to self-determination.

 Online newspaper Pakistan describe that while talking to yet another delegation led by PPP leader based in UK Sheikh Arshad Barqi Prime Minister told that AJK had enormous potential of natural resources and urged him to motivate interested investors for investment in minerals, hydropower and tourism sectors in AJK. He further assured that government was providing the investors all possible facilities under one window operation.
