Khurshid Shah comes hard on NAB

According to online newspaper Pakistan  Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Khursheed Shah said Sunday that the decision to block services of mobile phones and ban motorcycle riding in Karachi and Quetta was a decision taken by Rehman Malik in his personal capacity and had nothing to do with the government. He was talking to media after addressing the ceremony of the distribution of CNG rickshaws under Benazir Employment Scheme.

online newspaper Pakistan quote that he said action should be taken against any group or party involved in Karachi violence. The federal minister said that the government welcomed the Election Commission’s decision to hold upcoming general elections under the supervision of judiciary. The minister advised that police, rangers and military should also be deployed for external supervision during the elections. He criticized Chairman NAB’s statements, saying that if any politician is involved in corruption than the chairman should call his name.

“Soon the interim government would take over and elections would be held in time. If anybody has any apprehension in this regard, he should remove it from his mind. The top priority of the government is the holding of free and fair elections”, he added. He said that the NAB Chairman should not conceal the names of corrupt politicians. His job demands that he should tell the people truth. PPP would bring Accountability Bill soon in the parliament, he maintained.
