Musharraf appears before court, indictment postponed

A special court hearing treason case against former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf will decide to charge-sheet him on February 21. A three judge bench headed by Justice Faisal Arab resumed the hearing during which Pervez Musharraf also appeared.

He also stated that the announcement of the Twenty20 team will discussed during the PCB meeting. When asked about who would replace Dav Whatmore as the national team’s coach, Ashraf replied that the matter would be resolved in a few days. 

The PCB chairman said a decision regarding the team’s captain would be made keeping in mind fitness and national interest. “Right now Misbah-ul-Haq is fit.” The PCB chairman said a decision on Pakistan’s participation in the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh will be made after the evaluation of the security team. But chances of success in such an endeavor are meager. 20 billion bailout package for AJK soon: PM

According to online newspaper Pakistan the AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has reiterated that government has launched a number of mega development projects to turn AJK into a model state. Talking to various public delegations at Kashmir House Islamabad on Sunday he said Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has assured bailout package on the direction of President Asif Ali Zardari for socio economic development in Azad Kashmir.

President pledges fair general elections

 According to online newspaper Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has assured that general elections will be held in time which will be completely free‚ transparent and fair in all manners.
